In February of 2017, Pastor Jon Neitzell was led to attend a church planting seminar offered by Dynamic Church Planting International (DCPI). During this conference, the Holy Spirit challenged him to seek God's plan for the St. Croix River Valley. As Pastor Jon obeyed this leading, a vision emerged to build a network of churches stretching from the headwaters in Solon Springs, WI, down to the mouth of the river in Prescott, WI. Researching the layout of the valley, it became evident that there was room to effectively establish churches spaced every 15-20 miles. Consequently, the ministry set the goal to "Build a Network (RVFM) of 24 churches throughout the St. Croix River Valley from Solon Springs to Prescott and 20 miles in all directions by 2027." In 2022 the Holy Spirit told Pastor Jon he was limiting God by geography, so RVFM has expanded its vision to plant churches wherever the Holy Spirit leads with no geographic limits.
